History
Born the son of the Winter Knight and one of the Fallen, Lucas' life began just about as complicated as it could have. Nyla Renata, Mab's Knight, was forced to disappear to give birth to her child in secret, away from the prying eyes of the Winter Queen. She also wasn't a fool, and worked her magic with the help of an old relative to bind her unborn son's more angelic nature from him. Lucas was born and raised as a survivor, with his mother and sister... With no knowledge of his father.
Moved from place to place, he learned magic and other skills necessary to survive in this world from everyone that had been available to teach... Including his mother's "friend", Gwen Morningway. His life was far from normal, but it was his own. On his own, he'd had the chance to live and do as he chose, even staying in Chicago for a short time before heading west for Seattle. It was there that he met his father, finally... Who unbound his angelic nature and released Lucas from his mother's protection. In this state, the part of him that had been locked away, shunned, wanted revenge against the one who had deprived it of the world. Lucas' action led to the death of his own mother, and with her last act she unleashed her death curse to destroy Lucas' angelic half almost completely. Only small pieces of it remain, but because of the binding that had separated them for so long, Lucas was able to return to life as he had known it... With the knowledge and pain that he'd killed his own mother.
Without much direction, in Lucas' depression he decided to return to the only real friend that he knew. The sad part was, Rowena Dawson was in Chicago... He hated Chicago.
Magic and Abilities
Lucas had been able to gain a wide variety of knowledge and practice over the magical arts, having received tutelage from varying sources over the course of his life. His knowledge of evocation and thaumaturgy well exceed his years, and encompass a broad scope of subjects. Interestingly, Lucas has gained a strange specialty towards the power of Spirit in his evocation over the typical elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water), though he is still well versed in all of them. His thaumaturgical knowledge also spans to cover a wide variety of applications and subjects (Conjuring to Wards, Fae to Demons, Worldwalking to Spirits).
Aside from his capabilities to magic, Lucas has also learned various survival techniques from his mother, including the ability to fight and observe from the Winter Knight herself. All of the necessary skills that he would need to survive. While not able to properly use most modern technology, he is not ignorant to its ways and does very easily keep a few firearms around just in case.
